The different seasons have their pro's and con's to looking and buying homes.
The summer months have many more homes on the market, opposed to the winter months. Buyers want to buy and move during the summer. The weather is great, school is out and it's easier to get a feel of the neighbor's and neighborhoods surrounding homes on the market. BUT, the summer months also mean more competition between buyers. It's a bidding war for some properties and it can get a little frustrating for buyers whom want to purchase the home which they found to be perfect for them..
The winter months may be less homes on the market and less competition. It's also a little more difficult to see what the neighborhood is really like, when snow is piled up, covering up yards and keeping neighbors in doors. The homes tend to sell for less during the winter and sellers want to sell. Weigh out the pro's and con's and see what season fits your house hunting needs best.. There are great brokers and agents that would love to help!!!!
