Putting Your Home On The Market
It's important the have your home ready. Its understandable if the home is still being lived in, to still have furniture and household items through your home, but it's important to have your home picked up and clean. You can ask your agent to make sure you have proper notice before showing.
If you have animals that are in the home, please let the selling agent know, so they can let that be known to buying agents whom may be showing your home. Some buyers may not be interested in a home with certain animals, due to severe allergies or may even fear animals and won't enter a room with a pet cat or dog.
It is most difficult to sell a home that is not able to be shown!!!!
It is very difficult to sell the home that the owners or tenants are not flexible and willing to allow the house to be seen. We as agents understand that some Sellers have children or days and times that work best to show homes, but if the listing agent has to constantly turn down showings when they are requested, with plenty of notice, it definitely makes things very difficult to get your home sold. An agent can have pictures taken, do videos and market a home on every site, but when the Sellers aren't willing to show the home, with plenty of notice, it's a huge challenge and that home will sometimes stay on the market longer than it actually had to.
